My mom was a muralist and decorative painter before she became an interior designer. While painting on a project in Southern California about 30 years ago, she met my dad. Because of this sweet story and the wealth of creativity that I grew up surrounded by I think painting at this scale was inevitable, although I never really planned on it. In 2019 I was invited by California College of the Arts and my hand-lettering professor Heather Hardison to design and install a mural in the San Francisco campus library. Within moments of putting my paintbrush to the wall, I knew I needed to keep working big. Through word of mouth I was able to begin my journey of painting murals in Napa Valley with the installation of a pre-designed mural at Crisp Kitchen & Juice followed shortly thereafter by my own design at FitNV. The rest is history, beyond grateful to all of my clients for giving me the opportunity to explore their walls and transform the space, leaving a little bit of me in each stroke.
